Comparison of booster effectiveness shows that different patient groups have different needs

In a new @PNASNews publication, @MGHSteeleLabs @MassGeneralMDs @MGHCancerCenter researchers and colleagues created a mathematical model to predict the long-term effectiveness of COVID-19 vaccine booster doses in different patient populations. The mathematical model reflects how the booster effect can fade quickly in patients with suppressed immune responses, including cancer patients receiving immunosuppressive treatment.
