Charlotte Kaufman
Charlotte Kaufman

Introducing Charlotte Kaufman, the most recent intern at the Moses Lab. Charlotte volunteered in our lab in 2024, where she worked with us on our pancreatic cancer ADC project and also on our project focused on the impact of the tumor microenvironment on the progression of breast cancer. She is committed to a career in medicine and science. Charlotte is now a Freshman at the University of Michigan, where she was recruited into their outstanding Honors Program. Her major is Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology. She has already received the William J. Branstrom Freshman Prize, awarded to first-year students in the top 5% of their class. On a personal level, she is the quintessential team player, always goes above and beyond, and is kind and generous.

An update on our past interns

From Marsha Moses; "Our three Nile Albright Research Foundation fellows are all doing wonderfully. I have continued to meet with each of them, write letters of recommendation for them, and provide guidance on college and grad school applications, etc. Our first fellow (2023) was Sarah Lamson. I continued to mentor and guide Sarah as she finished up at Dartmouth and then took a few years off to work as a lab technician. I was then happy to help her during the past year with her graduate school search and decisions. She has chosen to attend Duke and still intends to become a biochemist. I have never seen her happier! Our 2024 fellow was Danielle Harris, who is now in graduate school, pursuing her doctorate in biochemistry at Case Western Reserve University and conducting her dissertation research at the Cleveland Clinic — she is thriving as well. Caroline Hodi, who is still at Holy Cross, was our most recent intern (2025) and is currently a junior there. She is doing all of the prep work required for applying to medical school and is continuing to excel on all fronts.
